At Super Frat, it’s Ten Things I Learned from the Hottest Day in History.

And the Quote of the Day is from Moebius:

“Little by little the agents have taken over the world. They don’t do anything, they don’t make anything, they just stand and take their cut.”

Harold George has your Sunday, The Funnicks.

At Super Frat, the psychic frat boy has Your Fratoscope.

And the Quote of the Day is from Evan Dorkin via the Slushfactory:

“There have always been people who use comics as stepping-stones, one way or another. There have always been people who are have been pretty bald-faced about wanting comics to be their stepping stones to film and TV some of them come with tail between their legs backs to comics and the realistic ones keep their mouths shut and still their books because they love them and they realize that Hollywood could chew you up and spit you out.“

At Super Frat it’s Movies I Wish I Missed:  Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

And the Quote of the Day is from Jamal Igle via Panel Patter:
“I think it’s part of a larger problem with the American market, because you don’t see it so much (a reader gap) in European comics. We’re beholden to a monthly, 20 page comics format in a world that is increasingly more and more about immediacy. Most people are POP (point of purchase) buyers, meaning they buy things on impulse. They’re not trained the way hardcore comic book readers are to be in the shop every Wednesday. It’s impossible to capture those readers because they don’t want to be forced to hunt down the next issue of a comic book. So we need to rethink how we a) write stories b) publish for the future.”

Today at Super Frat, it’s Rewritten Headlines:  Gay Marriage to Junk Food.

And the Quote of the Day is from David Michelinie via The Iron Man Armory:

“…whenever a I read a novel or short story, or see a movie that’s incredibly well-written, I frequently come away with a schizoid mix of elation and depression. I’m delighted to have had such a good time, but I also tend to have an elevated awareness of my own artistic shortcomings. That frequently makes me want to try harder, to look for something new, change my perspective, maybe dig deeper into my psyche for some speck of creativity I may have overlooked before.”

Hey Factory Fans!

Please welcome our newest sponsor, C.H.U.D.!  C.H.U.D. stands for Comics Here Under a Dollar.  It’s a comic book show run by my friend, Bill, in Cherry Hill, NJ.  If you like to buy mounds and mounds of old comics, you gotta stop by.  The comics are a dollar and under!

And, of course, don’t forget our other sponsors Randomcomics.net, MyDigitalComics.com, Game Play Wear and School of Comics!

At Super Frat today, it’s a new strip called Da Family Mon.

And the Quote of the Day is from Carmine Infantino via the Comics Journal:

“You know, the most important thing about my artwork: It never matured. Because just before it reached maturity, I stopped and became an editor. Because a good friend of mine once said to me, “Why don’t you ever talk about your artwork? Why don’t you have any around your apartment?” And the answer is very simple: My artwork to me is like an unfinished symphony, a painting that has never been completely done, a baby that never was produced…”
