At Super Frat, Frat Boy at the Movies looks at the new Seth Rogen, James Franco movie, This is the End.

And the Quote of the Day is from Bob McLeod via Mile High Comics:

“I always advise against a career in comic books now. It’s a very unstable business that isn’t run very professionally, and offers no job security or future. The money is better in most other art fields, and comics are one of the most difficult things an artist can attempt to do.”

Hey Factory Fans!

Don’t forget to check out our sponsors!  Randomcomics.net, MyDigitalComics.com and Game Play Wear.  Remember, helping them, helps us continue to bring you comics every day!

At Super Frat, don’t miss the latest strip The Soft Serve Dowry.

And the Quote of the Day is from Sal Buscema via WTV Zone:

“Comic books are supposed to be pictures, telling a story. The ideal that we always worked for on a monthly basis was to tell the story so that it didn’t need any dialogue. And of course it’s a pipe dream, because you’ve got to have dialogue, you’ve got to have descriptions and so forth, but this was what we worked toward. I have no idea what they’re working for today. I look at pages of panels of heads talking to one another and I have no idea what’s going on and I don’t care.”

Check out the latest from Christian Beranek’s 20%.

At Super Frat it’s Twitter in Focus with cartoonist, Matt Bors.

And the Quote of the Day is from Mike Ploog via Twomorrows:

“I’m not saying it to blow my own whistle: What I do now comes so much easier. I thinks it’s self-confidence, and maturity as an artist. One of the things Will Eisner gave me was the instinct to see as an artist. It’s a hard thing to explain: One day you just start looking at things as an artist. As time goes by, everything you see you see as blocks, shapes, forms, colors, hues. After years you know what you want to see on that blank canvas and you just instinctively know how to achieve it. Everything is automatically on the paper. There’s no longer any terror of that blank sheet of paper. It’s a welcome friend.”

At Super Frat, the bros have a decision, Is It Love or Ice Cream?

And the Quote of the Day is from Terry Moore via Texas Monthly:

“The old saying is true: Just make what comes naturally then see what you have. All I can do is make my stories and see what the world makes of them. “

At Super Frat, your pledgemaster speaks in Fratty or Not Fratty with Pledgemaster Dick.

And the Quote of the Day is from Barbara Kesel via DC Women Kicking Ass:

“…it’s not just about having the women be good characters: it’s about ALL characters having personality and distinctive voices. I wasn’t just advising how to make the women better, but the men too. They can all be eye candy; they can all also be interesting on the inside. My point was that if the creators invested a little of themselves in their stories and maybe spent some time in the company of someone who was different, they’d make better comics.”
