Keep the Factory Running!

Saturday on the Network: Saturdays

Hey Factory Fans!

It’s going to be a good month for the site, I feel.  I’m about to announce some new sponsors and I’m working on a few more after that.  You gotta love a sunny Saturday though.  A good day to sleep late, then get up and get stuff done that you couldn’t do all week.  Or stuff that you do all week anyway, like making comics!

At Super Frat it’s Tony D’s Rejected Comedy Samples: A Day at the Monkey House.

And the Quote of the Day is from Hunter S. Thompson:

“If Sunday is the Lord’s day, then Saturday belongs to the Devil. It is the only night of the week when he gives out Free passes to the Late show at the Too Much Fun Club.“

Friday on the Network: Facebook

Hey Factory Fans!

I gotta say, I’m over Facebook.  I really enjoyed it in the beginning with the games and whatnot, but soon every person I’ve ever met has hunted me down.  I can’t stay on it long before I get flagged from someone.  Can’t get any comics made doing that!

Today at Super Frat it’s Rewritten Headlines: Pope Call to Police Killing.

And the Quote of the Day is from unknown:

“Behind every successful student, there is a deactivated Facebook account.”

Thursday on the Network: Clients

Apr30

Hey Factory Fans!

Client work is a strange thing, especially when the client doesn’t know what they want.  But hey, it’s their money.  If they want to waste it telling me how to write when they hired me to do it, that’s their call.  I can only tell them that I know what I’m doing.

And speaking of people that know what they’re doing, check out our sponsor MyDigitalComics.com, for all your comic digital download needs!

At Super Frat, it’s a new strip called The Wire Was Right.

At Validation, Ally gets a phone call.

And the Quote of the Day is from Frank Lloyd Wright:

“A doctor can bury his mistakes but an architect can only advise his clients to plant vines.“

Wednesday on the Network: Opinions Are Like…

Apr29
by Tony DiGerolamo on April 29, 2015 at 12:45 pm

Hey Factory Fans!

So many opinions out there and so many people that are too damned sensitive.  Sure there are wrong-headed people in the world.  Stupid, ignorant brutes that have no business in polite society, but silencing them is not the answer.  Neither is ganging up on them like a pack of wild hyenas.  Is this what civilize people do?  Children often hold stupid, ignorant opinions and these people are often mentally children.  You chastise children, but the goal is ultimately to teach them.  Have patience and make the “better” opinion known.  If your ideology is better, it will eventually win out.

And speaking of strong opinions, Twitter in Focus looks at Nick Di Paolo.

And speaking of comedians, I’ll be hosting Laugh Out Loud Open Mic Night on the 2nd Floor of Tavern on Camac tonight at 9pm.

And the Quote of the Day is from Harvey Mackay:

“Most fears of rejection rest on the desire for approval from other people. Don’t base your self-esteem on their opinions.“

Tuesday on the Network: Excitement and Comics

Apr28

Hey Factory Fans!

You gotta be excited about what you do.  If not, then how can you do it?  Even if you do something stupid, at least be into it, I say.  I love writing comics!  Look at the site now!  Over two dozen projects all different genres, formats and artist!  I love sending the link to people.  It’s exciting to have them check out the site.

And speaking of exciting, support our exciting sponsor, MyDigitalComics.com!  They’ve kept us going for many-a-month now!  And they love comics too.  Check out their digital downloads, most of them are free.

Today at Super Frat, it’s a new strip called Math Wizzes.

There’s a pin up at Johnson & Sir.

And the Quote of the Day is from Henry Moore:

“The creative habit is like a drug. The particular obsession changes, but the excitement, the thrill of your creation lasts.“
