Keep the Factory Running!

Wednesday on the Network: August

Aug06
by Tony DiGerolamo on August 6, 2014 at 12:39 pm

Hey Factory Fans!

Get your summer plans rolling because August means the end of summer, fans.  Now is the time to get to the beach, do that barbecue and all the other things you planned to do.  Before you know it, it’ll be September and you’ll be saying, “Crap, I’d better put a jacket on.”

At Super Frat, it’s Twitter in Focus with Dave England.

And the Quote of the Day is from Henry Rollins:

“August, the summer’s last messenger of misery, is a hollow actor.”

Tuesday on the Network: The Internet is Always On

Aug05
by Tony DiGerolamo on August 5, 2014 at 1:12 pm

Hey Factory Fans!

I love the Internet.  I remember the days when I had to walk to get mail, conversation, news and porn.  Now I don’t have ink on my hands and everything enters my brain in a much more efficient fashion.  I look forward to my Internet brain insert device.  Let me named it first: IBID.

At Super Frat, it’s a new strip called Prepare for Apes.

Atomic Milkshakes is back.

The Archive for In A Relationship has been restored!  Including the strips drawn by Justin Stewart.

Also, you may have noticed a division in our Link Buddies list.  Several of our buddies have ended their webcomics or gone on permanent “hiatus” as we say in the biz.  I went through the links the other night and deleted the dead links.  The active links are on top and the Finished links are under “Finished Webcomics” on the bottom.  Just another service to you, Factory Fans!  If you like the original list as it was, visit Friends of the Factory, which still has everything.  If I moved a link in error, please update me immediately by emailing me.  If you’d like to become a link buddy, let me know.

And today’s Quote of the Day is by Evgeny Morozov:

“The Internet has made it much more effective and cheaper to spread propaganda.”

Monday on the Network: No News is Good News

Aug04
by Tony DiGerolamo on August 4, 2014 at 11:40 am

Hey Factory Fans!

Not much news on this Monday.  Doolaeh, who had been drawing Tales of Pizza, is moving on.  Good luck, Doolaeh!  Beyond that, more comics in the work here at HQ.  Lots of auditions out.  We’ll keep you posted.

Today at Super Frat it’s Ten Things I’d Like to See on the News.

Validation is new, as the con party continues.

Atomic Milkshakes is back from vacation tomorrow.

And the Quote of the Day is from Voltaire:

“In the case of news, we should always wait for the sacrament of confirmation.”

Sunday on the Network: Fortune

Aug03
by Tony DiGerolamo on August 3, 2014 at 11:16 am

Hey Factory Fans!

As my favor carrot related comic book character once said, “Fortune favors the bold!  Ut!”  (Fifty Factory points to whomever can name that hero!)   I’ve always liked that word “fortune” because it sounds like a neat way of saying “future” or “opportunity”.  And it’s true, ya gotta go bold or go home.

Speaking of fortune, check out Your Fratoscope for August 3, 2014 at Super Frat.

And the Quote of the Day is from Virgil:

“Come what may, all bad fortune is to be conquered by endurance.”

Saturday on the Network: Writing, Writing, Writing

Aug02

Hey Factory Fans!

Wow!  What a productive night I had!  Wrote six strips and a bunch of other stuff.  This always happens after a sponsor push.  I can’t write for a few days while I’m emailing and then suddenly, blam!  I can write again.  Now I can actually go out and enjoy my Saturday!

At Super Frat it’s Rewritten Headlines:  Ebola to Nerds.

Don’t forget to visit MyDigitalComics.com for free downloads!

And the Quote of the Day is from Tony Kushner:

“I love reading; it’s a great way to avoid writing.”
