Keep the Factory Running!

Monday on the Network: Writing Lots

Hey Factory Fans!

Starting this week by hitting the ground running!  We’ve got lots of stuff in the works here at Webcomic Factory HQ.  Artists just keep emailing every day!  So much talent out there!  I got a lot of writing done last night and a lot to do today so—  Hope you’re having a productive day too, fans!

At Super Frat, here is Ten Things I Learned Watching Adult Swim.

Fan boys meet a creator in Validation.

And the Quote of the Day is from Isaac Asimov:

“Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers.”

Sunday on the Network: Security!

Hey Factory Fans!

The experiment continues.  Nice to have the Missus drawing a comic.  It’s so rare that I meet an artist that I work with face to face.  (Plus I can bug her about the deadline while I’m making dinner!)  Of course, last night we were speeding home from a restaurant working well past midnight.  We went to Salute in Montclair, NJ.  Great Italian food if you’ve never been.

Today at Super Frat, check Your Fratoscope for August 10, 2014.

And the Quote of the Day is from Douglas MacArthur:

“There is no security on this earth; there is only opportunity.”

Saturday on the Network: Faced!

Hey Factory Fans!

Ouch.  Vic really got messed up today.  Fortunately for him, vampires can take a lot of punishment.

Lots going on behind the scenes.  I must have at least six new comics in the works with new auditioning artists, plus a few more we’re scripting.  It’s a crazy juggling operation here!

At Super Frat it’s Rewritten Headlines: Turtles to Robots.

And the Quote of the Day is from Helen Keller:

“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.”

Friday on the Network: Tenacity

Hey Factory Fans!

You gotta have tenacity, especially in any creative endeavor.  There will be those who say mean things.  (And most of them comment on Reddit.)  But that’s just the Internet and that’s just the people that don’t have tenacity to do what they want to do.  Soldier on.  It’s a virtue in itself.

Today at Super Frat, I review a movie I was paid to promote: Guardians of the Galaxy.

And the Quote of the Day is from Louis Pasteur:

“Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal. My strength lies solely in my tenacity.”

Thursday on the Network: Censors Are All the Same

Aug07
by Tony DiGerolamo on August 7, 2014 at 12:12 pm
Posted In: Blog

Hey Factory Fans!

Censors are always the same kind of people: those that think they know better than everyone else.  It doesn’t matter if it’s some group that lobbies Congress and FCC over television or a message board mod.  There’s always something that gets these people tweaked and they stomp on it like a bug.  Then, when they’re called out for silencing a voice, they compound their actions by being defensive and never, ever changing their minds.  There’s only one solution to this problem:  Freedom of Speech.  Let people speak!  Sure they say terrible, ignorant things.  Hurtful, offensive, nasty things.  But by silencing them, you’re pushing those thoughts inward where they fester and you indirectly lend these awful thoughts validity by censoring them.

Let people speak.  It’s the only way they’ll learn.

Today at Super Frat, your favorite White House intern is back in Thinking of the Future.

The con party continues at Validation.

The Quote of the Day is from Henry Steele Commager:

“Censorship always defeats it own purpose, for it creates in the end the kind of society that is incapable of exercising real discretion.”
