Keep the Factory Running!

Saturday on the Network: Olde Tyme Gamer

Hey Factory Fans!

I’ve been playing Clash of Clans and I’ve been dying to do a webcomic about it.  Thus, today, we bring back Old Tyme Gamer!  Just so you know, I didn’t really get my nephew in trouble.  He did that to himself, but he still beat me in the trophy race we were having.

At Super Frat is a list I may have done a second time, Ten Things You’ll Never See on a Lay’s Potato Chip.  This one is probably way different.

And the Quote of the Day is from Demetri Martin:

“I like video games, but they are very violent. I want to create a video game in which you have to help all the characters who have died in the other games. ‘Hey, man, what are you playing?’ ‘Super Busy Hospital. Could you leave me alone? I’m performing surgery! This guy got shot in the head, like, 27 times!'”

Friday on the Network: Old Jobs

Hey Factory Fans!

Ya know, on some days, I miss delivering pizzas.  It was actually a pretty okay job.  You get to drive around, be outside, make quick cash and meet various idiots in a five mile radius.  Well, not all the customers were idiots.  It’s like dropping you empty packages of candy on the floor of the movie, people just act way different in that situation.  Same thing with the pizza delivery guy.

At Super Frat it’s Rewritten Headlines:  Barbie to Elon Musk.

And the Quote of the Day is from Deepak Chopra:

“No solution can ever be found by running in three different directions.“

Vandroid!

Nov21

Hey Factory Fans!

Vandroid is a badass graphic novel set in 1984 in Los Angeles.  The creators describe it as, “…a lost movie from the 80s with rich, retro-futuristic visuals. Set in the murky back alleys of a radically cool 1984 Los Angeles, the edgy sci-fi illustrates the battle between tough and wild individuals, costumed street gangs, and power-shouldered, corrupt businessman. Think blue chrome, synth soundtracks, fingerless gloves, and over-the-top action.”  Pretty sweet, I think.  Just check out their trailer.  As we said in the 80’s, “It’s radical!”

Thursday on the Network: Problems

Hey Factory Fans!

Oy.  Problems on Wednesday fans!  Problems!  I won’t go into them, but suffice it to say, I’m glad I have the webcomics to keep me sane!  Plus my generally positive outlook.

Today at Super Frat, the pledges talk majors in The College Machine.

Ally goes to the movies with her folks in Validation.

And the Quote of the Day is from Albert Einstein:

“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.“

Wednesday on the Network: Weed Comics

Nov19

Hey Factory Fans!

You know, to me, the interesting thing about comic strips or comic books about smoking weed is that they tend to be too much.  They tend to be over-the-top takes on stoners with very little subtly.  Not sure why.  As someone who doesn’t even smoke, I’m always paranoid that I’ll get something horribly wrong about the tone.  That’s probably why we haven’t really done an all out, stoner webcomic yet.  Although they seem to get good hits.

Today at Super Frat it’s Twitter in Focus with comedian Sarah Colonna.

Johnson & Sir is new.

And please welcome our new link buddy, I, Mummy.  This is a mummy webcomic by Andy Purviance and it’s got an old school look to it.  Also, don’t forget our other link buddies including Moco Comics, Kin Slayer, Victory and Zorphbert and Fred.

And the Quote of the Day is from Carl Sagan:

“The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world.”
