Name: Grub
First Appearance: Miserable Comedians #3
Description: Grub is a young comic that still doesn’t know the ropes. He’s earnest and genuine, but is constantly being burned by Vic and Donner. Grub assumes that since he’s nice to them, they should be nice to him, a fatal mistake. Grub is constantly showing his soft, vulnerable underbelly, and Vic and Donner delight in jabbing it.
Deep down, Vic and Donner see themselves in Grub, but they are too bitter and miserable to actually help him. Grub isn’t that talented yet, but he does have some raw talent. Combined with the fact that he is fat, it’s quite possible he could zoom right by Vic and Donner. Comedy is, after all, a young man’s game. This is another reason they merciless torture poor Grub. This cycle of abuse is likely to continue when Grub is older and meets the next generation of comics.

Battle some vampires on the latest page over at Dracula vs. King Arthur.
And at Super Frat, it’s Twitter in Focus with Chris Hardwick the Nerdist.
Name: Vic
First Appearance: Miserable Comedians #2
Description: It’s difficult to know where Vic’s comedy ends and his hatred for humanity begins. Bitter beyond belief, he lives in a perpetual state of jealousy, lashing out at those who might be more talented. Vic is actually very funny, but never knows when to stop. He’s been known to ruin gigs because he’s insulted night club owners, agents and bookers just to get a laugh.
Vic is almost never without a cigarette and alcoholic drink in his hand. He may have a problem, but if you wanted to help him, expect that he’d spend most of the time insulting you relentlessly. Vic is friends with Donner because he once got laid because Donner’s handsomeness attracted a lot of women. The duo get along pretty well, sharing great joy in cutting others down. It’s just a matter of time before one of them becomes more successful than the other and then the friendship is likely to be tested.
Super Frat has a new strip called Super Frat Hearts Reddit.
And the Webcomic Factory’s own, Diana Falzone, creator of Hot Mess, is hosting Attack of the Show. Here’s she is in action!
Name: Donner
First Appearance: Miserable Comedians #1
Description: Donner is a stand up comic that is probably better looking than he is funny. Skating by on his good looks, Donner does a lot of jokes about relationships because his personal life is a mess and he is secretly jealous of people who do have successful relationships. But at the same time, Donner wants those relationships, so every once in a while he allows himself to be vulnerable. It’s at that moment, he usually gets into trouble either because he opens up to another miserable comic or because he gets scared and starts turning on the person.
Comedy is, after all, a defense mechanism. So in a way, Donner is his own worst enemy when it comes to relationships. His only friends are other comics that he doesn’t consider a threat. Fortunately, he’s so full of himself, he doesn’t consider any comic that isn’t world famous a threat.
