According to a video I just saw, it was most likely the Syrian rebels who used chemical weapons, not the government. So that seems like a good reason to not attack. You know, good reason for reasonable people who don’t want to go to war. And according to an earlier video that was linked at the end, war with Syria has been planned for a while. But you probably know all about that, seeing as you’re trying to increase awareness.
In the first panel I wonder about two things. Shouldn’t “do” be included within the quotation marks in “do something”? With just “something” being quoted it sounds as if there’s a mystery as to what could possibly be done. And in the second word balloon in that panel, should “ethic” perhaps be “ethnic”? Because “moral” tensions don’t sound so bad.
Typos: Definitely right on the word “ethnic”. “Something” because I think that’s always the rush to war. To keep the “something”, as in the action, vague enough so that later any action can be pointed to. The government is talking about a “pinpoint strike” now, but they keep their reasons fluid, just like the Iraq War. First it was Anthrax, then it was nuclear weapons, then it was to “get Saddam” and then finally for “liberation”, which is nothing but code for making the country pliable to US interests.
It makes no sense for the Assad government to use chemical weapons. They already have better weapons than the rebels. The rebels are disorganization and are fighting amongst themselves. Assad’s military is not crumbling. Where do they have to go? To the rebels who have been executing people? It makes perfect sense the rebels would use the gas, since it will bring the bombing.
Yeah, the Neocons authored “A Clean Break”. It’s a plan to take out all the major factions in the Middle East that won’t play ball with Israel’s government. The final country, after Syria, being Iran. These people don’t care how many innocents die as long as their wacky agenda moves forward. This is no way to bring peace to the world, but then the Neocons do not believe in peace. They believe in perpetual war with the U.S. at the head, smacking around little countries to keep the others in line. That’s a formula for uniting the whole world…against us.
