Keep the Factory Running!

Saturday on the Network: Art

Hey Factory Fans!

Fighting a head cold this weekend so forgive me if I don’t have anything clever to say.  (Wait, was I ever clever?)  I’m going to get some soup and watch more Trailer Park Boys.

At Super Frat, it’s Binge Watch:  Trailer Park Boys, Season 8.

Don’t forget to check out Harold’s updated blogspot.

And the Quote of the Day is from Pablo Picasso (who was never called an asshole):

“The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web.”

Friday on the Network: Updates

Sep05

Hey Factory Fans!

Just updated my WordPress software here and on Super Frat.  Unfortunately, I lost my link list on Super Frat in doing so.  I copied the one from here, but I did have a few links that were exclusive to Super Frat.  If anyone knows them or runs those websites, shoot me an email.  In other news, got a head cold or Ebola, hopefully the former.

At Super Frat it’s Rewritten Headlines:  Joan Rivers to Pot.

And the Quote of the Day is from Joe Sacco:

“I tried to draw people more realistically, but the figure I neglected to update was myself.“

Vig

Vig Starmax is a mild – mannered pre-school principal by day and a temperamental freelance graphic designer by night.

Hey Factory Fans!

Today is a volcano of webcomics!

Besides the normal goodness here, we have a new strip at Super Frat called And Who Updates the Website?

Validation has got a HUGE update with a preview of Tiny Unicorn.  It’s more than one strip, so click through!

And the Quote of the Day is from Khalil Gibran:

“If your heart is a volcano, how shall you expect flowers to bloom?”

Wednesday on the Network: Escape

Sep03

Hey Factory Fans!

Everyone needs to escape once in a while.  For us creative types, it begins with this stuff:  Comics!  That’s why everything today is about the creators.  And it’s just not creators, it’s the fans too.  Escaping through the story.  Either you read about a life you want or someone that has it worse than you!  I think that goes to the heart of comedy.  You laugh because “Whew!  At least I’m not THAT guy!”

At Super Frat, it’s Twitter in Focus with Boondocks creator, Aaron McGruder.

And the Quote of the Day is from Lynda Barry:

“We don’t create a fantasy world to escape reality. We create it to be able to stay.“
