Distractions are everywhere if you’re a writer. Music, television, food, life— Well, anything that keeps you from pounding the keys really. How do you tune them out? Hmmm, good question, Tony. I tune them out by putting on the same song over and over again. The repetition seems to turn into a buzz in the background and I just keep typing. It’s gotta be a good song though. Recently, any song connected to a video game has been my choice. Like this one.

My story about lightning is true and frightening. A group of my relatives and a friend of the family was struck by lightning. The friend was killed. In a strange coincidence, his father has also died being struck by lightning decades earlier. No joke. Get inside when you hear the rumble.
