One of my paranoid conspiracy theories is this: Television networks make sure that they’re showing reruns on off nights from each other so everyone ends up flipping the channel to wherever they’re not showing reruns.

It’s a pretty mild theory. Way less tinfoil hattery then my current one about the CIA controlling the media.
