Friday on the Network: The Job

Hey Factory Fans!

Having a job sucks.  Having a career (as Chris Rock said) is awesome.  The best part of making comics are those moments when you realize that you could’ve been serving fast food or cleaning floors or whatever—   Instead, I get to look at artwork, write scripts and post blogs like this.  It’s pretty glorious.

Speaking of glorious, don’t miss the posts at Super Frat, today is Rewritten Headlines: Romney to Homeless.

Full color post today at Harold George’s Instagram.

And the Quote of the Day is from Malcolm Forbes:

“If you have a job without any aggravations, you don’t have a job.”

Thursday on the Network: Hey, Ladies

Hey Factory Fans!

Today we introduce Mia, a female alien made completely from gases.  Some fans complain I don’t have enough female characters or enough female perspective.  I think that’s kinda weird, in that, I’m not female, so even when I’m writing a female character, it’s not really from the female perspective.  It’s only what I imagine it would be.  But fans want what they want, I suppose.

Today at Super Frat, it’s a new strip called Equality Trump Style.

Harold George is back with another post.

Don’t miss the Thursday Validation.

And the Quote of the Day is from Eleanor Roosevelt:

“A woman is like a tea bag – you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water. “

Wednesday on the Network: Charity Begins At Home

Mar02
by Tony DiGerolamo on March 2, 2016 at 3:19 pm

Hey Factory Fans!

I never really got that old saying, “Charity Begins at Home”.  I mean, the obvious interpretation is that you’d be handing donations to your family members.  But I come to think it really means you should be nice to everyone, especially the people you live with.  Makes sense, right?  I mean, if you can’t be nice to them, being nice to everyone else just makes that a image thing.

Today at Super Frat, it’s Twitter in Focus with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Harold George has a new post.

And the Quote of the Day is from Thomas Fuller:

“Charity begins at home, but should not end there.”

Tuesday on the Network: Election Time?

Mar01

Hey Factory Fans!

You know I love arguing politics on the Internet, but I try to keep it off the blog.  But recently, there’s been this spate of people bashing Trump as if he’s something new.  It’s as if the world will crumble if the Donald gets to be president.  Well, have you seen the records of the other people running?  These people have actually committed war crimes, while the Donald merely aspires to, perhaps, maybe.  And while I don’t support Trump, I find it laughable that people will argue that some of the other candidates are altogether so much better or honest.  Politicians lie and yes, you can put them on the same level as Trump.  Once you’re outed as an unabashed liar, the rest of the things you say are suspect, even when (and especially) when it’s something you agree with.

And please, spare me your “lesser of two evils” argument.  It’s still voting for evil.  The bottom line is, if every independent voter and non-voter voted for Kanye West this election, he’d win in a landside and probably be even more entertaining than Trump.  So please, do yourself and everyone a favor and stop your self-righteous proclamations on Facebook and elsewhere about how only stupid people support Trump.  Stupid people support your candidate too and substantial dialogue about the issues starts when people talk about issues rather than engage in the kind of easy, bashing that people like Trump, always do.

The reality is, Trump supporter bashers, you’re enabling the so-called “idiots” to take the high road, while simultaneously hardening their position.  You’re self-righteous indignation is all about you and has nothing to do with convincing anyone or educating them on the issues.

So if you want to stop support for Trump, stop acting like him.

Anyhow, off my soapbox.

Speaking of politics, today at Super Frat, it’s a new strip called the Coming Commercials.

Harold George has a new post.

Henrik Magnusson has a new strip for Winter of Discontent.

And the Quote of the Day is from Neil Gaiman:

“A nice, easy place for freedom of speech to be eroded is comics, because comics are a natural target whenever an election comes up.”

Monday on the Network: Close Quarters

Feb29

Hey Factory Fans!

You can tell a lot from a person when you live with them.  It’s the little messy and neat things that will drive you crazy in the long run.  But as a Grade A slob, it doesn’t seem to bother me.

Monday means a new Validation.

At Super Frat, Fat Guy Eats looks at the Kettle and Grille.

And the Quote of the Day is from Heather Chapple:

“Women who say that they have met the most amazing guy in the world are only saying that because they haven’t lived with them yet.”
