In the last panel, shouldn’t “the Vladamir” be “Vladimir”?
As for the arguments in that last panel, I don’t think that chemical weapons “go off” like explosives. Aren’t they mixed right before being deployed, because they’d otherwise be too dangerous to have around?
And I don’t see Vladimir Putin sticking up for an ally as proof of USA being in the wrong. I see it primarily as a tactical move that also happens to be the moral one. So I would’ve phrased it ever so slightly differently: When Vladimir Putin gets to tell you to be more peaceful, you know you’ve @#$!ed up! 😉 (This is not a correction though, this is just my opinion. Man.)
Fixed.
They are extremely toxic chemicals. The assumption is that they are contained in shells ready to be fired. From what I learned on Breaking Bad and wikipedia, mixing them at the last minute doesn’t sound viable.
Well, I see Putin’s move as also common sense and in his own best interest. As someone who grew up during the tail end of the Cold War, the world sure seems backwards when Russia has to tell you to lay off. Syria’s not much of an ally for him anyway. More like a customer for his weapons. But Putin’s pretty thuggish and when a thug has to tell you to lay off, it should be a huge red flag that you’re being an asshole. Not that anyone in Washington would ever put that together.
