   But it could lead to “other things”, such as even more work for the same pay!

   In the second panel I’m thinking that “lock up and the alarm codes” looks kind of broken. It almost sounds as if he’s supposed to just “set the alarm” (without “codes”, because you don’t set those very often) or get his own “set of keys and alarm codes” so he can lock up.

     Hey Gill! Sorry for the late reply. (B-day party today. It rocked!) Yeah it’s amazing how vague these corporate types sound. Hmmm, that might sound better. We might tweak it for the print version when we go over it again.

       Probably grandmother-suck-eggs, but either: -
       “…you’ll get your own set of keys so you can lock up, and the alarm codes.”
       or
       “……you’ll get the alarm codes and your own set of keys so you can lock up.”
       Got a feeling this refusal is gonna come back to bite Gary in the @$$!
