Hey Factory Fans!

Censors are always the same kind of people: those that think they know better than everyone else.  It doesn’t matter if it’s some group that lobbies Congress and FCC over television or a message board mod.  There’s always something that gets these people tweaked and they stomp on it like a bug.  Then, when they’re called out for silencing a voice, they compound their actions by being defensive and never, ever changing their minds.  There’s only one solution to this problem:  Freedom of Speech.  Let people speak!  Sure they say terrible, ignorant things.  Hurtful, offensive, nasty things.  But by silencing them, you’re pushing those thoughts inward where they fester and you indirectly lend these awful thoughts validity by censoring them.

Let people speak.  It’s the only way they’ll learn.

Today at Super Frat, your favorite White House intern is back in Thinking of the Future.

The con party continues at Validation.

The Quote of the Day is from Henry Steele Commager:

“Censorship always defeats it own purpose, for it creates in the end the kind of society that is incapable of exercising real discretion.”
