Roberto is the Webcomic Factory’s newest artist for the upcoming webcomic, the Antiwar Comic. (Starts this Monday! September 12th!)
Roberto Cota Briceño was born in La Paz, Baja California Sur, México in 1980. He studied Graphic Design graduating in 2001. Moving his residence to Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, México in 2003, he now lives there with his wife Liliana and daughter Andrea. Currently, he teaches Graphic Design at local Universities around the city.
Starting with his creator-owned comic books, Roberto created La Choya Atómica in 2007. He now has comic books and a strip in a newspaper three-times a week. Additionally, he worked with some magazines in México (Superluchas, Mad México, DeathMoon Cómics, Cómic Zone and independent publications) and in the USA (12 comics, Chikara Pro Wrestling)
He writes reviews about comics for the web magazine CulturaCómic (www.culturacomic.com) and assists with local Art festivals and Book Fairs in Cabo and La Paz. Roberto helped out at the national comic conventions in July 2011 when he assisted at the Expo Cómic in México City.
