Don Edwards was born in Washington, DC on June 8th, 1972. He spent his pre-adolescent years in Southern Maryland discovering his artistic inclinations thanks to the encouragement of his father, Jim, who started the whole thing off by bringing home a big roll of plain white paper, and challenging the 6 year old Don to a round of spaceship designs. And with the weekly gathering of Sunday comic books from the local 7-Eleven, it only got worse from there. The boy went on to draw upon every thing of which he could get his grubby little hands, unintentionally driving his dear mother, Donna, crazy with thousands of sheets of wasted school paper, filled instead with images of superheroes and space battles.

Now residing in his adopted state of Virginia, Don continues to work toward his dream of being a part of the comics industry as well as becoming a published author and screenwriter. In the meantime, he is working towards an Associate’s Degree in Information Systems Technology at Southside Virginia Community College and has recently become certified in Microsoft Office Software and Adobe Photoshop.

You can find more of Don’s art over on his blog at http://unemployedduckart.blogspot.com/, his DeviantArt account over at http://www.feloniousduck.deviantart.com . When he’s not drawing Bobby and the gang over on the Old Tyme Gamer webcomic, Don is developing what he hopes to be the awesomest comic ever, chronicling the adventures of an Unemployed Duck.
