When I bowled in a league, there was this guy named Rick on my team. This actually happened. He broke several things in the alley because he would just wing the ball as hard as he could. His typical throw barely touched the alley. It would land some place in the middle of the alley, bounce and then smash the pins. He actually broke a pin once. He threw the ball so hard, he broke the back of the bumper and smashed into the brick wall at the back of the alley, dislodging several bricks but not quite making it outside.
